Entering this baroka-filled month, Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud gave his Ramadan message to Muslims around the world. He called for all Muslims to put aside differences and called for unity. According to Arab News, "We call on Muslims to reject differences and disputes, and to emphasize reason," said the 85-year-old king on Tuesday (04/13).

King Salman also praised the modern measures and technologies adopted to ensure the safety of those who visit the two holy mosques to perform Tarawih Prayers. Both are the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque.

Meanwhile, tarawih prayers at the Prophet's Mosque in Medina on the first night of the holy month of Ramadan this year 1442 Hijri went smoothly even though the atmosphere of the Covid-19 pandemic is still haunting. In official media reports of the Saudi government SPA, the first Tarawih prayer was held with regard to health protocols.

Prayers will only be held in 10 rakaat and prioritized for mosque workers. Furthermore, for visitors who want to visit the Prophet's Mosque to worship, the mosque also provides strict control with a temperature detection tool with high accuracy.

Visitors are also required to meet the necessary requirements through an app called "Tawakkalna".

Saudi Arabia itself is said to be one of the countries that managed to control the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The country recorded 398 thousand cases with 6,754 deaths.

In vaccination, the country also tends to be faster than other countries. In a country of 34 million people, 6.28 million doses of the vaccine have been administered.
