4.4 Million People in Turkey Have Recovered from Covid-19

The total number of recovery cases in Turkey has exceeded 4.4 million, according to Turkish Health Ministry data.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 28,817 cases were confirmed across the country.

The number of Covid-19 cases in Turkey is now almost 4.85 million, while the number of deaths has increased to 40,504. Meanwhile, a total of 81,302 more patients have been declared recovered.

More than 47.5 million tests have been conducted in Turkey to date. The country has also provided more than 22.9 million vaccine injections since the campaign began on January 14. More than 13.77 million people have already received the first dose of the vaccine, while more than 9.16 million people have already received the second dose.

To control the spread of the virus, Turkey imposed a total lockdown from Thursday night until May 17.  Since December 2019, the Covid-19 pandemic has claimed more than 3.18 million lives in 192 countries and territories.

According to Johns Hopkins University data in the US, nearly 151.5 million cases have been reported worldwide, of which more than 88.3 million have been recovered.
