Chairman of the Indonesian Waqf Board Muhammad Nuh said, now it has entered into the era of national waqf revival. One of them with the emergence of more diverse waqf products.

According to him, nowadays waqf products are no longer only land, but also money and stocks.

"There is a diversification of waqf, if it used to lean to only land but now there is money, intellectual property rights, such shares and so on," he said in a virtual webinar, Friday (7/5/2021).

For the current waqf of money, it and related stakeholders will encourage it to be further expanded. Because, this has great potential towards Indonesian waqf.

"Especially this waqf money should be encouraged because it is easy and flexible either when we fulfill the waqf or as its management and the available instruments are very possible waqf money be the main driver," he explained.

Nowadays, awareness of Waqf not only comes from certain groups or rich people, but also from various social groups of people.

"The growth of collective awareness across the social structure of waqf. If the waqf used to be done only by certain groups that are sufficient, now it is not. Both rich, poor, parents or young people both students and academies and also the general public," he explained.

In addition, nowadays waqf can also be paid virtually for example by mobile banking. Soon it will be integrated with QRIS issued by Bank Indonesia.

"This sign waqf is no longer managed by conservatives. Now waqf has entered a new era of technology," he said.
