Indonesia is increasingly eager to bring the domestic halal economy to the global market. Because, Indonesia is considered to have great potential to be the center of halal product producers in the world.

Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Suryo Pratomo said that one of the major international markets that needs to be boosted is Singapore. According to him, Singapore has trade partnerships with many countries in the world that Indonesia can use to include its halal products.

"Singapore they are hubs, allowing us to enter a wider network of markets and partnerships. Singapore has a number of free trade agreements with various countries that can be used for sharia economy," he said in the opening ceremony of the 1st Indonesia International Halal Fair, Monday (6/21/2021).

One of the things that is considered necessary to be boosted is halal food products. He explained that although the Muslim community in Singapore is only 14% of the total population but feel protected by his country.

Protected in this case is, it is easy to get halal food products. Because, the government protects its Muslim citizens by providing knowledge to all businesses to provide information about halal and whether products are sold.

"I've only been here seven months, but I come to food sales places and otherwise halal traders will actively tell me it's not halal. So, the presence of the state to provide protection to the community is really important," he explained.

Therefore, he asked that all the board of islamic economy management of the Singapore branch that has been appointed can continue to actively promote and bring Halal Products Indonesia. This is the early way to be able to master the global market.

"Positive expectations for sharia economic development are getting higher especially from the confirmed mess looking group in Singapore," he said.
