El Sisi Wants Misr Mosque Design to Reflect Egyptian Islam

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspects the construction of the Misr Mosque in the new administrative capital on Wednesday (7/7).

 

On that occasion, El Sisi hoped that the design of the Islamic Cultural Center and the Misr Mosque in the new Administrative Capital should reflect Egypt's Islamic history.

 

As reported by Ahram Online on Thursday (8/7), El Sisi held a meeting with a number of state officials to follow up on national projects being built by the Egyptian Armed Forces Engineering Authority in collaboration with the government and ministries.

 

El Sisi directly inspected the construction, especially the Islamic Cultural Center and the Misr Mosque, which will become one of the largest mosques in the world.

 

El Sisi also reviewed the workflow in the new capital's diplomatic district which will house foreign embassies. He also briefed on the headquarters of international organizations located in Egypt, which would be built in the diplomatic district according to the highest international technical standards and in full coordination with the United Nations.

 

The meeting also discussed the progress of work on various national construction projects, including the construction and improvement of several connecting road projects.
