Dozens of Muslim women in India have found themselves traded in online auctions without consent. Delhi police are investigating how the women were offered for sale on an online auction app.

More than 80 photos of Muslim women were uploaded to an open software development platform (Github) called Sulli's Day Deal.

A Muslim woman who also works as a commercial pilot, Hana Muhsin Khan, became one of the victims. His name is listed in the application list. He was alerted by one of his friends who sent him a tweet including photos of the women.

The tweet took her to a website that has taken publicly available photos of young women and created profiles describing women as the deal of the day. On the next two pages, Hana saw photos of her friends. After that he found his own photo.

"They actually auctioned me as their slave that day. From that day until today, I am just in a state of anger," Khan said as reported by Gulf Today on Monday (12/7).

In fact there is no auction of any kind in the application. The main purpose of the app is just to humiliate and humiliate Muslim women.

GitHub reports that it has now suspended user accounts for violating its policies on harassment, discrimination and incitement to violence.

Hana said in one of her tweets she was targeted because of her religion. "I am a Muslim woman who sees and hears. And they want to silence us," she said
