PLN Electricity Discount Until December, Here's How to Access It

The government has extended the electricity stimulus program in the form of discounted electricity tariffs, exemption of 50% load or abonemen fees, and exemption from implementing minimum account provisions of 50% until December 2021.

 

The total budget provided by the government for the electricity stimulus program throughout 2021 reached Rp 11.6 trillion. The budget consists of costs for electricity discounts of Rp 9.49 trillion and minimum account assistance and expenses or abonemen costs of Rp 2.11 trillion throughout January-December 2021.

 

Here are the details of the electricity discounts provided:

 

- 450 Volt Ampere (VA) powered customers:

Electricity tariff discount of 50% during April-December 2021.

Electricity tariff discount of 100% during January-March 2021.

 

- Customers powered by 900 subsidized VA:

Discount rate of 25% during April to December 2021.

Electricity tariff discount of 50% during January-March 2021.

 

Minimum account fee help:

50% off for industrial, business and social customers during April-December 2021.

100% discount for industrial, business and social customers during January-March 2021.

 

Load fee assistance or abonemen fee:

50% off for industrial, business and social customers during April-December 2021.

100% discount for industrial, business and social customers during January-March 2021.

 

HOW TO ACCESS

 

According to Director of Commerce and Customer Management of PT PLN (Persero) Bob Saril in his official statement, this discount will be given directly to customers.

 

Postpaid customers will get a discount with a direct cut on their electricity account bill. While for prepaid customers, discounts on electricity tariffs are given when purchasing electricity tokens.

 

Especially for prepaid customers with 450 VA power, stimulus will be obtained when buying electricity tokens.

 

Customers no longer need to access tokens, either through pln's website or WhatsApp.

 

In addition, for customers who get stimulus in the form of burden fee exemption, abonemen, and exemption of minimum account provisions, stimulus through PLN will be done automatically by cutting the electricity account bills of social, business, and industrial customers.

 

A 50% deduction applies only to expenses or abonemen fees and minimum account usage fees.

 

Director of Electricity Business Development of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Ida Nuryatin Finahari said that PLN and the Ministry of ENERGY also opened a complaint service for customers related to the electricity program stimulus.

 

According to Ida, PLN opened a complaint channel related to stimulus through pln mobile application.

 

"Then, if there is a complaint that is not completed in pln 123 complaint channel, the public can submit a complaint of electricity consumers to the Ministry of ENERGY through konsumen.listrik@esdm.go.id," explained Ida, as quoted from the official statement of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

 

As for checking information related to the electricity stimulus program obtained, customers can access PLN Mobile, according to the steps below:

 

- Open PLN Mobile and select Stimulus Info

- Enter the customer's meter/ID number and click send

- History of stimulus receipts during the discount period of the tariff will appear

- For prepaid customers will appear a token purchase link through PLN Mobile and contain token stimulus information obtained earlier

- For postpaid customers there will appear a link to pay electricity bills and load information on the amount of stimulus obtained earlier.
