Father and mother who are blessed by Allah, how beautiful the month of Ramadan has come again this year. So happy when Ramadan is present because of the glory where good deeds will be multiplied. And of course we hope that our baby will also feel happiness in this beautiful holy month. However, there are so many questions from parents who are worried about how to teach children to love the coming month of Ramadan? Not even complaining about having to fast where the child doesn't eat and doesn't drink all day.

Here are 7 tips to make Ramadan fasting beautiful for children:

1. Make the presence of Ramadan welcomed with joy, starting from the month of Rajab we tell beautiful stories from the prophet's storybook, how the virtues are related to the month of Ramadan, what events happen during Ramadan, what are the beauties in the month of Ramadan . Teach children to read the prayer "Allahumma baradika fi rajaba wa sya'baba wabaligna ramadhana", O Allah, bless us in the month of Rajab and Sha'ban and tell us to be able to meet in the month of Ramadan.

2. Make the atmosphere of the house different, cleaner, change the atmosphere so that it is imprinted on the children that Ramadan is really a special month to look forward to, if there is no special room for recitations with us, we arrange it in one of the rooms to gather and pray a lot.

3. Prepare a schedule of activities with children to avoid watching a lot of TV which shows a lot of food, syrup, fruit ice, tempting cakes. Just like when children are in school, there is a learning curriculum that makes it clear what children will learn and with whom. So that children can focus on fasting, parents have a clear agenda with children which is certainly fun, has benefits and certainly there is no focus on hunger and thirst.

4. Give proportional rewards and eliminate punishment, especially for children under the age of 7 years, if we have excess sustenance, buy a new mukena or a new sarong that we will use for tarawih prayers if you can fast, try to use new items In the month of Ramadan, children feel the beauty of Ramadan, not during Eid. If the child succeeds in fasting Ramadan, we can give rewards and can also open some special Eid cakes for your child. If new clothes and cakes can only be eaten and worn during Eid, the child will tend to want Eid soon and feel tormented by Ramadan, giving small homemade gifts when he successfully completes his fast. Gifts don't need to be expensive, special fried eggs from mom will be extraordinary for your child if we serve them with love.

5. Tell the child what will be done during the month of Ramadan, so that the child has an idea of what worship is carried out in the month of Ramadan, for children under 7 years old, appreciate the process more than the final result. Always involve the child since the dawn process, wake up pleasantly and gradually aka not in a hurry so that the impression of eating sahur becomes pleasant, tell me that the door of Ar-Rayyan in heaven is for people who are diligent in fasting, if there is at first only able to appreciate half a day In the process, allow iftar for a moment and then we will be motivated to continue fasting. There should be no coercion, especially on children under 7 years so that the child becomes a sincere person in carrying out Allah's commands. Education of children aged zero to 7 years is a child as a king, of course we will say gently to a king, not harsh words that force.

6. Give a smile point board, or make a sky with stars plastered on it, if the child fasts and does the practices in the month of Ramadan, he will get a smile or star which will be accumulated later to be able to get items as a reward, the reward does not need to be expensive. The reward given to the child is a child's need, if the shoe is damaged, then we will buy shoes, if the pencil starts to get short we can buy a pencil. It means to make the child excited and love to make the good practices that we have told in the month of Ramadan, we can agree on the practice with the child according to the child's age.

Every time we work hard to introduce the beauty of Ramadan, we are actually making traces on our child's brain so that one day he will love his Lord and one day he will be able to find His paradise even though our parents are no longer by his side. And this beautiful experience during Ramadan will be passed down to our grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the future. Delivering fasting to a child and he understands its meaning is not an easy job, but God willing, it will bear fruit in heaven. There are 3 practices that will be carried on by a human being, Jariyah charity, useful knowledge and pious children who pray for their parents. May our every effort be Teaching children to love Ramadan is our effort to lead children to become pious and pious children.
