Tajwid science cannot be separated from qira'at science. Studying it is fardhu kifayah for every Muslim and its application in recitation the Qur'an is fardhu 'ain. The diversity of ways to read the lafazh-lafazh of the Quran is the basis for the rules in Tajwid Science. Qira'at science is a science that discusses the various recitations (Qira'at) received from the Prophet Muhammad SAW and explains sanad and its acceptance. In this science, it is expressed Qira'at who is shahih and not shahih while conflating every face of his recitation to a Qira'at priest.

To improve the quality of the Qur'an recitation of students, Ma'had Al Irtiqo' held a Tahsin Qira'ah activity which was attended by all students from grade 10 to grade 12. This agenda was mastered by Al Ustadz Thufeyl Vandayo, S.S. for male ma’had and Al Ustadzah Nabila Naylil Amalia, S.Pd. for female ma’had. The method used in this tahsin qira'ah is the Ummi method. With this agenda, it is hoped that it will be able to cultivate the spirit and spirit of students in improving recitation, understanding the meaning and values contained in the Qur'an.
