Sharia financial literacy is still an issue that must be resolved by Sharia banking actors. INDEF Sharia economist Fauziah Rizki Yuniarti argues that there are still many employees and customers who do not know the details of sharia banks.

Fauziah said’’ if literacy is low, people's view of Sharia banks can be bad. To that order, he suggested that the relevant parties should improve islamic financial literacy.

"The solution from this literacy is definitely the main target of literacy is from the family. Housewives and family heads come first," Fauziah said during a webinar held by INDEF, Tuesday (16/2).

"Then the second is Dai or religious leaders. We know the role of religious leaders in Indonesia is so strong, especially in Sharia banking as well," he added.

Fauziah said that many people cling to the direction of Dai or religious leaders. So that by cooperating with scholars can make people more trust put money.

"So if we can, actually improving financial literacy Dai it is actually easy for them (the public) to put their money in Sharia banking," said Fauziah.

Even so, Fauziah admitted that it is not easy to invite scholars to use Bank Syariah Indonesia. The next solution that can be taken is to utilize influencer services.

Fauziah admitted that he rarely sees influencers or celebrities promoting Sharia banking products. In fact, said Fauziah, the step should be effective.
