Since the beginning until the 10th of Ramadan, Madrasah Aliyah Al Irtiqo' Malang held an event called Kahira (Kajian Hikmah Ramadan). Want to know how the event was held? Luckily, Media Ummat have the opportunity to interview the vice principal in MA Al Irtiqo' Malang, Budi Prasetyo Margono, M.Pd. 

Media Ummat: What was Kahira and what are the objectives of holding it? 

Mr. Budi PM: Kahira stood for Kajian Hikmah Ramadan (Ramadan Lessons Sermons) and it was Held in order to harness the Ramadan holidays with positive Islamic sermons not only for the students, but also for other teachers and staffs of MA Al Irtiqo', and also for making performances for our school's "Pondok Ramadan".

Media Ummat: What subtended the establishment of Kahira? 

Mr. Budi PM: Since our school has ended its curricular activities, we believe we need to establish some activities for our students and teachers to fill the gap in this Ramadan Holidays. 

Media Ummat: Who were the participants and targets of the Kahira event? 

Mr. Budi PM: We obliged this event to be participated by all students and teachers, and since Kahira was a virtual event, we also accepted people from outside the school who wanted to join our zoom cloud meetings. 

Media Ummat: How was the systematics of the establishment of Kahira? 

Mr. Budi PM: For Kahira, we implemented the event for twice a week only in Ramadan 2021, and we chose some teachers who would be the speakers for elaborating their disciplines and integrating with lessons we find in Ramadan. For example, when our principal, His Excellency Mr. Alamsyah, M. Pd spoke in the first chapter of Kahira, he integrated his discipline - Bahasa Indonesia - with lessons about managing language to reach takwa predicate. So, besides the students and teachers who participated comprehended Ramadan, they also understood the coherence between science and the lessons of Ramadan

Media Ummat: What outputs did the school obtain after implementing Kahira during Ramadan 2021? 

Mr. Budi PM: After we implemented Kahira in Ramadan 2021, we could see the enthusiasm of our students and teachers was increasing. Moreover, some students desired to maintain this success event and requested to invite some expert Dais from outside the school.

Media Ummat: What were the positive impacts which the performers had after performing in Kahira? 

Mr. Budi PM:  We also could see that teachers who performed as dais in Kahira could elaborate their discipline with Islamic studies really well in Kahira 2021.

Media Ummat: Will Kahira be implemented in every Ramadan, after we see that it brought success? 

Mr. Budi PM: Sure, we will implement Kahira in every Ramadan, after we see the enthusiasm of the participants, moreover we will establish some other meaningful activities for our students and teachers.
