During these past six months of Coronavirus pandemic, the Indonesian agriculture sector stays stable against the economy plunge. This second-largest sector contributing in Indonesia's economy has managed to grow 2.19% in the second quarter this year, although the last year's year-on-year growth in the same period is much bigger, which is 5.3%.

This phenomenon resulting in the increment of rice production. In March this year, the rice production is 6.27 million tons while in the following month, April, the rice production is 9.85 million tons. That amount of rice production in March is however still lower than the same month in previous year's, which was 9.17 million tons.
