The environment and education Prince Harry was in prevented him from thinking about unconscious biases exist in this world. Lately, he made a remark that now he realized it really exists and he really had no idea that it happened the whole time. He opened up about how his wife, Meghan Markle, has opened his eyes about it. “Sad as it is to say, it took me many, many years to realize it, especially then living a day or a week in my wife's shoes," he said during the virtual conversation with Patrick Hutchinson.

Hutchinson himself is a Black Lives Matter activist which a photo of him went viral through online media. It was a photo of him carrying an injured White counter-protester man to safety during a Black Lives Matter protest prior in June."It's when you can't really point the fingers, especially when it comes to unconscious bias, but once you realize or feel a little bit uncomfortable then the onus is on you to go out and educate yourself because ignorance is no longer an excuse," Prince Harry said during the conversation."Unconscious bias, from my understanding, having the upbringing and the education that I had, I had no idea what it was. I had no idea it existed. And I think one of the most dangerous things is people within positions of power, whether it's politics or whether it's the media, where if you're not aware of your own bias and you're not aware of the culture within your system, then how are we ever going to progress?" he added.

Hutchinson spoke of his frustration at the lack of understanding about Black Lives Matter and the fight against racism. "There are lots of people who either don't think that it exists or they don't want change and they're fighting against it. And I don't know what these people are scared of, or afraid of," he said.

Then Harry remarked that fights against racism is a global movement. "The train has left the station. If you're not on it now, then get on it because there's so much that we can do. And being a dad myself, the whole point in life, I guess, for me, is to try to leave the world in a better place than when you found it."

When Insider news portal tried to ask Buckingham Palace regarding Prince Harry’s speech, they just simply said, "We would not comment on the below. The Duke is not a working member of the Royal Family and any comments he makes are made in a personal capacity."
