As he approached the city of Medina, on one of the street corners, the Prophet (peace be upon him) met a stonemason.

At that time the Prophet saw the hand of the stone worker blistered, his skin blackish red like the sun roasted. 

The Prophet asked,

"Why are your hands so rude?

The stonemason replied,

"O Messenger of Allah, my workers divide stones every day, and the stone parts I sell to the market, then the results I use to give my family a living, because that's my hands rough. 

The Prophet ﷺ‎  was the noblest man, but once he saw the stonemason's rough hand for making a halal living, the Prophet grasped the hand, and kissed it, saying,

"This is the hand that the fire of Hell will never touch forever."

The Prophet never kissed the hands of the leaders of the Quraysh, the hands of the leaders of the kabilah, the king or anyone else.

History records only his daughter Fatimah Az Zahra and the stonemason, that's the hand that the Prophet kissed. 

Whereas the hand of the stonemason kissed by the Prophet ﷺ‎  precisely the hand whose palms are blistered and rough / calluses.

Because it's splitting stones and working hard. 

Once a man passed before the Prophet ﷺ‎ 

The person is known as a ta'at and an enterprising worker is also agile. 

The friends then said,

"O Messenger of Allah, if he works as he does, he can be classified as jihat in the way of Allah (fi sabilillah), then how good it is."

Hearing that the Prophet ﷺ‎  replied,

"If he works to support his young children, then it is fi sabilillah; If he works to support his elderly parents, then it is fi sabilillah; If he works for his own sake so as not to beg, then it is fi sabilillah."

(HR. Thabrani). 

So in every step you work or try, intend to seek a halal windfall, to make a living for the family.

So you are fi sabilillah (in the way of Allah).
