The trend of digitalization is increasing as regulators signal the new presence of digital banks in the country. Islamic banking is also racing to prepare a SuperApp digital service.

"With the bionic banking strategy, BSI also adheres to an open banking strategy to cooperate with fintech and e-commerce in accordance with sharia principles. Mobile banking will be a fight later, the big banks have made it SuperApp, this is also what BSI will build in the future superApp," said Hery recently.

SuperApp service will provide convenience and comfort experience for customers. He projected that he could facilitate various daily needs through the SuperApp.

BSI Mobile can also transact saving gold, pawning gold, paying Ziswaf, and buying animals Qurban. In addition, BSI Mobile users can check the prayer time and location of the nearest mosque.

BSI Mobile Banking transactions until July 2021 amounted to 46.4 million transactions or up 97.4% on an annual basis (yoy). The increase was also driven by the high activity of e-commerce shopping payment transactions. This transaction increased by triple digits during July 2021 on an annual basis (yoy).

The transaction contributed to an increase in commission-based revenue or fee based as much as Rp12.9 billion or up 71.85% since the beginning of 2021 on a yoy basis.

"As of July 2021, BSI Mobile transactions contributed the highest, which is 46% of the number of e-channel transactions, already exceeding the achievement in 2020," said Hery.

The number of BSI Mobile users until August 17, 2021 was more than 2.7 million users or an increase of 79.4% yoy with active user growth reaching more than 1.1 million customers or an increase of 92.5% yoy.

Until the end of 2021, BSI targets 3 million new BSI Mobile users and also targets fee based of Rp 532 billion from e-channel transactions.

Panji targets this latest feature can be launched at the end of 2021. However, it all depends on the readiness and blessing of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
