Prostate cancer is a type of cancer that often occurs in men. This disease is often experienced in elderly men (elderly) over the age of 65 years.

However, prostate cancer can also occur in men who are younger or under 50 years of age. Prostate cancer occurs when there are abnormal cells that grow and are not controlled in the prostate gland.


This abnormal cell growth is generally caused by a genetic mutation that can be inherited from a parent or that develops on its own, not offspring.

Furthermore, he said that not all prostates swell. One way to deal with advanced prostate cancer now no longer has to remove the testicles (kastrasi), but only done with chemical techniques by injecting drugs.


Side effects, the prostate will still be able to function, but the possibility of libido can decrease.


As is known, former 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. SBY was diagnosed with prostate cancer based on a number of examination results.


"It is true that Mr. SBY will soon do medical check-ups and treatment abroad. In accordance with the diagnosis from the Doctor's Team, Mr. SBY has prostate cancer(prostate cancer)," said SBY Personal Staff, Ossy Dermawan, in his statement, Tuesday (2/11/2021).


Currently, SBY has undergone a number of examinations such as MRI, biopsy, Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Specific Membrane Antigen (SMA) examination. Prostate cancer that SBY has is still in the early stages.
