Since being streamed simultaneously around the world on September 17, 2021, the survival drama series Squid Game has attracted millions of viewers and become one of the best-selling Netflix series. There is a group of people who want to improve their lives by getting a prize of ₩45.6 billion (US$ 38.7 million) even at the risk of themselves.

Since the viral series, there are several things that are of concern to the public. Where in this series reflects how a number of people can get into debt who seize instant property with life bets. It is said that debt triggers arise because of the insistence on gambling, cheating, unpaid salaries, school children's expenses, and the prestige of consumption.

No free lunch man! There is no free lunch, so when it is easy to owe it must bear the consequences of the debt that is to pay it in any way. Especially consumptive debt with riba then not only principal debt that must be paid, but also usury interest interest that is increasingly multiplying. Until long ago this "ghalabatid dayn" wrapped around and suffocated the debtor.

Nowadays with the development of technology, debt can become easier. Market place facilities to pay later behind or pinjol ads with the condition that it is easy to make debt can be an extraordinary attraction.

What if a believer is already in debt? Do you have to give up, run away from the obligation to pay the debt? Not! Debts of any kind are still obligatory to be paid even in a hadith the practice of a man will be suspended until he pays his debts. "The spirit of a believer (who has died) is adrift because of his debt until his debt is repaid". (HR. At Tirmidhi no. 1079, he said, "(Hadith) hasan", lamented Al Albani in Shahih At Tirmidhi).

Here are tips on how to tidy up debt administration and how to solve it:

1. Intend to complete it immediately by performing or making a pledge together with family members, spouses and children.

2. Lower lifestyle from excessive to simple and frugal.

3. Transferring riba debt to Shariah transactions, can be done with individuals, cooperatives or Islamic banks (takeover).

4. Request the elimination of the riba portion of the existing debt.

5. Propose a longer time (restructuring) for debt repayment so as not to become too heavy a burden.

6. Sell existing assets and find a job or halal business whose proceeds can cover existing debts.

7. Lots of alms and prayer.

One of the most good prayers is chanted every morning and evening: "O Allah, I take refuge in you from confusion and sorrow. I take refuge in You from weakness and laziness. I take refuge in You from cowardice and misery. I take refuge in you from the debt and arbitrariness of men." (HR. Abu Dawud)

In addition to presenting the reality of indebted life, this series also shows how some humans who have excess wealth are confused with how to spend their property. As did the creator of this Squid Game game, and he only realized the mistakes of his life until nearing his end.

There are many good things that can be done with a person's wealth. Do not let us be called as Allah says in QS At-Takatsur (102): 1-2 which means: "Boasting has neglected you, until you go into the grave.." and QS An-Nisa (4): 29 which means: "O believers, do not eat your brother's property in a vanity way, unless it is obtained by a way of trade that is mutually willing from among you. And do not kill yourself, for Allah is merciful to you."

Owed can you? Excessive property can? Whatever our circumstances today, we will be accounted for in the hereafter by having to answer four questions, and on the part of the treasure there are two sub-questions: where does our treasure come from and how do we spend it:

It will not shift the two soles of a servant's feet on the Day of Resurrection until he is asked about his age where he spends, about his knowledge of how he practices them, about his wealth; Where he gets it and where it spends it, and about what it uses for what it uses." (HR. Tirmidhi)

Therefore, the need for knowledge in how to manage the property of both other people's property and our own both property management when there is a deficit and surplus. Knowledge about Islamic financial management can be obtained one of them by participating in training held by Sakinah Finance. The recording can be obtained in various print media or impressions. Wallahu a'lam bis-shawaab. Greetings Sakinah!
