Al Baqarah 113: Be Fair Against Sinners

There is nothing bad about all of God's creation, except what God himself calls bad, so we say that it is bad according to Allah. There is nothing to hate from all of God's creation, except what God himself is told to hate, so we hate it because of Allah. So know the boundary between good and bad, so that we do not oversenter a bad thing by hating something else near it that is not bad.
A person who likes and hates something because of God can be characterized by his attitude towards the opposite thing that he likes and hates. If his liking does not close his eyes from seeing and denying a pity, then it is worth it when he claims to like someone because of God. And if his hatred does not close his eyes from seeing and liking a good, then it is worth it when he professes to hate the deeds of a sinner because of God.
In this verse we discuss, verse 113 of Surat Al-Baqarah, Allah tells the excessive attitude of some Christians towards the misbehavior of the Jews, Allah SWT said:
Wa qaalatil yahuudu laysatin nashaaraa 'alaa syay-in wa qaalatin nashaaraa laysatil yahuudu 'alaa syay-in wahum yatluunal kitaaba, kadzaalika qaalal ladziina laa ya'lamuuna mitsla qawlihim, fallaahu yahkumu baynahum yawmal qiyaamati fiimaa kaanuu fiihi yakhtalifuuna
"And the Jews said, 'The Christians are not above the truth in the slightest', and the Christians said, 'The Jews are not above the slightest truth', even though all they read the Scriptures. Those who do not understand will say as they say it. Allah will judge them on the Day of Resurrection what they have disputed in it."
Ibn Kathir narrated, Ibn Abbas narrated that this verse came down to comment on an incident, namely that at one time some Christians from Bani Najran visited the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), hearing that then some Jews came to them, the Jews protested the Christians by saying: "The Christians are not above the truth in the slightest." So the Christian guest from Najran was angry and replied, saying: "The Jews are not above the truth." They then quarreled before the Prophet (peace be upon him), the Jews denied Jesus, the Christians were irritated and denied Moses.
Consider the story, since the beginning of the coming of The Prophet Jesus, most of the Children of Israel objected because the Prophet Isa straightened out many abuses committed by the Children of Israel, it continued through the generations until the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him). In the story, the Christians became irritated at being visited and ridiculed by the Jews, then they intended to irritate the Jews also by lying to the Prophet Moses. They were too excessive in their attitude towards the Jews by denying a Prophet who was also glorified in the Gospels.
Although this verse tells about Jews and Christians in the time of the Prophet Muhammad, but the lesson in the story is for all of us, that no matter how bad a person's behavior, we must not hate more than the bad, we must not turn a blind eye to the good and truth that is besides the bad, not because we do not like some of his bad behavior then we hate all of him. So in order to control discernment and objective attitude to evil, we must base our view with God; We love and hate things because of God. If it is because of God, we will be careful that there is not the slightest thing that God does not hate and then we hate also because it is owned by a sinner.
Always remembering God makes us will always be fair, including the perpetrators of the maxiat. Otherwise, no matter how much knowledge you have, emotions will abort it so that it looks like an uneducated person. See the word of God, "Those who do not understand will say as they say." God calls the un-objective person uneducated. The rest, only bad behavior that we should hate, while the person should not lack our affection, we hate his behavior but still love the person, then we will try to fix it. That's what da'wah means.
