The head of the Association of Public Organizations for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments in the Liberation Territory of Azerbaijan, Faig Ismayilov, said that the initial results of the assessment of monuments in the city of Shusha Azerbaijan, as many as 11 mosques were destroyed in the city. The city of Susha was previously an area that Armenia had occupied.

There is no single historical and cultural monument has remained intact in the city,”said Ismayilov who is also a member of the Group's workforce created in connection with the valuation and inventory in the city of Shusha.

The mission of their group is to monitor historical and cultural monuments in Shusha, explore the state of the monuments in the region and uncover monuments that need to be restored and preserved, and carry out design work.
